The Board of Directors is the highest governing body of the organization.  A board of directors consisting of several respected, able people of stature. Board members works on volunteer basis.  The board is a governing body that typically meets at regular intervals to set policies for the SRDO management and oversight.  a board of directors is responsible for helping the organisation to set broad goals, supporting executive duties, and ensuring the organisation has adequate, well-managed resources at its disposal and to clarify the role and responsibilities of each member of the organization. 

The Board of Director:

• Determine the vision and mission and purpose to guide and set the pace for its current operations and future development.
• Determine the values to be promoted throughout the Southern Relief and Development organisation (SRDO).
• Determine and review SRDO's goals.
• Determine SRDO's policies
